Harry, you will find that some of the lines in the NYC also have
accessible stops. Call the subway authority to find out which ones.
They are adding more all the time. also over 80% of their busses are
lift equiped.
BTW, dont forget that the Shubert Theaters , ala, Cats, Phantom of the
Opera, Les Mis, etc has seats available for those in a chair and one
other person for $7.50 a piece. Call the group ticket office well in
advance.
Regards, John
P.S. Just seamed like a good place to reinforce this idea Harry. Has
nothing to do with the Balto. Metro.

Thanks, John, for the subway and theater info in New York. I have availd
mys3lf of the "chair and another person" idea at Kennedy Center, where
the tickets are half price, and they have set aside a very limited number
of wheelchair space in certain boxes. The porgram is run by Frieds of
Kennedy Center, and they assign you a nujmber that lets you charge
tickets by phone. The main requirement is that you must order half price
tickets before the run of the show begins. Once the show starts, kyou can
only get half price tickets the day of the performance, which for a
wheelchair person would not be a vlery good gamble. Have you tried this?
Regards, Harry.
