I sent them a nasty AP> letter asking why they thought they had to do that since I was a valued AP> customer. Ann, while I am not wild about the AFB, I will have to say in their defense, that if you request it, you can get a braille catalog from them. Index Number: 12852 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] AP> The trouble is, Walter, that I have and did request braille catalogs on an AP> almost bi-yearly basis for the past twenty-five years. Each year I get the AP> print catalog. Each year I request the braille. Now you would think that a AP> business would have enough sense to make sure that they kept notes on the AP> media their customers prefered. Now, you and I both know that all it takes AP> is AP> adding one field to the data base. Well, you are right. They say that if you are on the list to receive braille catalogs you don't have to request them again. Like you, I have to continually to request my braille catalog. But, I never have found the AFB really interested in the blind. They seem to only look out for the AFB. I always wondered since they are suppose to be nonproffit, how could the organizations which admit to being for proffit could undersell them.
