I haven't heard of that before, it sounds real descriptive. Fred, it is a device that is connected in between the modem and the computer, and it tweedles as data is passed, when it stops you know the file transfer is completed. Index Number: 12972 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] fred you should point out that the tweedle dump only works with externam modems and it has a bad habbit of screwing up certain functions of telecommunications programs that look at pin 20 and pin 8 I think but 20 for sure. the tweedledump is only wired for the first 8 pins of an rs232 port and the others are left blank. that causes magaproblems. tandy ... Index Number: 12919 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] fred I regularly use braille'n speak with a camtronics all-mode tnc. I've just used it on packet. I've permanently configured things at 1200 n81. Right now, I have 2-meters and I have yet to configure the other modes. There is a local rtty net on the 145.11 repeater and I'll need to go through my disk manuals for configuration parameters for that mode. To use the braille'n speak with a TNC or any other modem so far as braille'n speak is concerned, just connect a null modem adapter either the one they have, or a tweedeledump so you can hear data between the two devices. If the TNC starts in the autobaud mode, just hit dots 16 the star key to shut that mode off. By the way, the at sign is dot 4 in computer braille. Speaking of pnemonic phonetics, mine are King Kong's Third Foot. 73- KK3F @ dca6 @ n4QQ. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!109!304!Patrick.Gormley Internet: Patrick.Gormley@f304.n109.z1.fidonet.org
