Does anyone know how to make the ALADDIN navigation program for genie
work with the vocal-eyes program.
I am not having much luck in making it work.
Has anyone else used this navigator.

I agree with you that I can set several different windows of different
types, but still that isn't really the point. I sent a letter to Genie
explaining the problem to them, and I commented that sence they have a
disabilities forum, that the designers of the software should be made
aware of the fact that if the software were written to write to the bios
that most problems would be solved.

Danny, I am not using vocal eyes, but I am trying to use aladdin.
I am using jaws. You should be able to do the same thing with
vocal eyes that I am doing with jaws. I am still working on it.
At this time, I am monitoring line 5 and line 24, and this makes it
speak fair. I wish it would write to the bios, and that would
solve it.

My problems are just getting it to work regardless of the speech.
I logged on yesterday morning and it started getting all of the
messages on the aliddin board, and after one hour and a half, I
pulled the plug so that I did not run into prime time. I do not
want to read all of those messages on there from the beginning. So
I am still trying to figure it out.

               Walter

Hi Danny,
I use Vocal Eyes and an ECHO-PC with ALADDIN.
It is working very well for me.
Leave me EMA{IL on GENIE with your phone number and I will call you.
my E MAIL addres is T.BELSAN1.
There are two problems that I had at first.
1. the default communication port is COM1 and
my ECHO is in COM1. I needed to use setup in aladdin to change
the port to COM2.
2. you need to start aladdin with the /v command line option.
good luck.
