I have a friend who has this computer and an Echo GP and she can't get it
to speak after it says Echo Ready. Is there a word she must enter in and
then press enter? This person has done a lot for me and I would like to
return the same. Also, happy new year to all. If any one can get W.F.M.
T. on their cable network there is a folk music program on there for
almost seven hours. It is the cheapest party to have and really have a
good time. It starts about ten P.M. and goes till five A.M. Also for the
shortwave echo I went to pick up my DX440 yesterday and, you guessed it
it didn't work when they plugged it in. I'm thinking of calling the
better business bureau, but I was told that wouldn't do any goood to do
so.

Hi Martie,
[This is from the Blink Talk Conference]
The problem your friend is having is that he/she needs the software to make
the Echo speak. Is the Tandy IBM compatible? If so, she needs a software
package like Flipper or Jaws or what-ya-call-'em. The synthesizer won't speak
lessen it goes to school. <grin> Only way to send it to school is to get it
the right curriculum. <grin>
See you on-line.
