        Hi, Ann,

I am a grad student in the Speech-Language Specialist (I *hate* the "P"
word) program at Gallaudet University, in Washington, DC. Our course and
labwork has covered Assistive Devices, and I couldn't help being curious about
which "other" devices the hospital has acquired. Are there any that are
available for patients' use? How much training is given to staff as a whole; ie
non-emergency room staff?
If you have a chance, I'd be very interested in learning more about A D
use in "real life". Since, as we know, higher education is often out of touch
with that arena of experience.

Life is too important to be taken seriously.

                                        Have fun!
