Has anyone noticed that on the lid of the McDonald's drink cups, on one
side it says diet in braille and on the other side it says other. I
can't figure out why they would put braille on their lids but I think
there must be a very simple explanation. Has anyone else noticed the
braille on the lids? Does anyone know why it's there? Is it really
there or am I finally going crazy? Come to think of it, is that
braille or just poppy seeds on those burger buns? Help, help, help!

Yes, the braille is really there on the lids. My eight year old
neice dug through the garbage can in her kitchen just so I could read
the lid to her. About you finally going crazy, well, you just might be
but it's hard to tell from this perspective. My own opinion is that
you're pretty sane but who's to say how competent I am! I think we all
should get a little crazy on New Year's Eve!
... Feelin' single, seein' double, wound up in a whole lot of trouble.

lee, there is also braille on the chrome tdk c90 cassettes- a for side 1 and b
for side 2.
as far as the sesseme seeds, as long as you didn't read anything on that bun
like kenith jernigan or something like that, you're doing ok... dan... if you
can say alsheimer, your ok!

Bill, I can't help wondering why everyone is concerned as why they
are brailled. I don't hear anyone asking why elevators are
brailled. Obviously your answer is correct. Suppose I went and
bought drinks for 5 people, I need to know what is what just like a
sighted person.

walter my question is who the hell cares are there people who just sit
around here all day reading msgs to thunk up this stuff. maybe since
this is national bash n f b month maybe n f b demonstrated in front of
mcdonalds head quarters and made them put the braille lids on the cuts.
they have been on the cups in tampa for three years or more. they
really don't give a blind person any information I mean if it says diet
or other you don't know any more than you did without the label. (wide
grin)
I found some braille dots on my new pair of fruit of the loom underware
in a strategic place does that mean I have to feel it to believe it
(wider grin)
