SB> I was cleaning out a drawer the other day and found an old Casio
SB> clock/calendar/calculator. It is the one that is the size of a
SB> check book. When it worked, I really enjoyed it. One day, the
SB> voice started cutting in and out and shortly after it died.
SB> Has anyone ever had work done on a unit like this? Is it worth
SB> even trying to get fixed? Should I just trash it and consider
 SB> my investment a loss?
 SB> Steve/

HI steve; Well I think you ment Sharp on that one.
Try spraying the slide switches with tunner cleaner.
Check the battery holders and make sure that they are really making good
contact.
after that, then you can call Sharp.
I think they will charge you at least $40 to fix it but not sure.
There are still some of them around, but there around $75 new.
Take care.
P.S. they are really discontinued. Every once in a while they make a
special run of them if some store will buy 3000 of them or so.
Don't bet on another run though.
