Greg,
The deal is, unlike Procomm, Telix has Zmodem built in as one of
its protocols, (I hear that Procomm is putting Zmodem in its registered
versions, but as for now, I don't know of its existance.) Telix has a B
command line option for easy setup to do bios writes for the novice
user, rather than initializing COM 1 the first time you run it, thus
locking up speech if that is where you have your synthesizer, Telix
allows you to select the com port from the setup menu the first time you
run it, as well as the ability to not have a status line, Telix has a
very profound script language that allows you to do tremendous things,
and even though it is a tad complicated, there are literally hundreds of
scripts out there already written that do everything you can imagine,
etc. etc. etc.
Hey, I too once used Procomm, and if Telix didn't exist, I'd
probably still be using it, but at least in my opinion, Telix is just a
better all around comm program than Procomm, at least for BBS
communications.
                                                        Willie
