[This is from the Blink Talk Conference]

In no way! was my message concerning the lack of attention or technical
support from TSI a personal attack on you, Carla. I'm sorry if you
felt that it was because it was notintended to be. It was a message
mainly directed at the indifference of the higher ups, the indifference
of those people who design the equipment, . From my point of view as a
user, a trainer, and one who has been around a while with this
equipment it seems to me that if the Axcent, Artic, oundingboards,
dectalkj, have worked with no problems then it appears to me that is a
problem with TSI's equipment not my Compuadd 320. Again that is not
your falt but that of the designers. Yes I do have a problem with
making pricey equipment and then designing it so that one has to do
everything but curse and then maby wishing to do that even to get
something to work.
Years ago when TSI came out with the Talking Calculators I bought two,
got one from the Federal Government and all three broke down and were
to costly to repair. I had two optacons the first never worked right
from day one and finally I had to replace it with another because TSI
discontinued the first model. The seccond worked for a short period of
time and quit but of course it was after the warantee ran out so it was
extremely costly to repair. I think with that kind of history I have a
qualified beef. I'm not hard to deal with I don't think I just feel
that when you charge some of the highest prices in the business that
TSI should go out of its way to make sure that their equipment does
work and that the customer is satisified. When a nonhandicapped
consumer buys a car he or she expects the same or if he or she buys a
T.V., high fi gear, or other expensive items consumers expect equipment
that works. I expect no less from TSI and see no excuse for anything
else. Grant
