Index Number: 13599 I have just subscribed to this newsgroup and I was wondering what the guidelines were. From what I have read it seems that it provides alot of information to people with various disabilities as well as being a support group. I am a paraplegic, who works full-time and is also a single parent of two children. I have a daughter who is nine and a son who is twelve. We have lived by ourselves ever since I was divorced seven years. It is tough of course, but we manage. Their father lives in Houston, Texas and provides no emotional or financial support. I was wondering if there were any other people out there who were in kind of the same boat. My family is not very supportive, to put it mildly, and I could use some coping advice. Even though I have been using a wheelchair for eight years I still have difficulty coping with day-to-day life, not to mention the frequent crises that occur. Any encouraging words or advice would be greatly appreciated.
