I have seen the stewardess's handle people that didn't stand at
all,They have you transfer into a speacial chair that is narrow
enough to fit in the aisle of the plane and they wheel you
on,transfer you to a seat, and when you reach your destination they
just reverse the procedure, and on one trip to Hawaii,my wife and I
were going to go on Luau,we were picked up at our hotel by a
speacilly fitted van(equipped with chair lift and tie downs) and on
our way we stopped at another hotel and picked up another gentleman
in a wheelchair and he didn't even have a helper with him. So it
can be done.I don't know what speacial handling you would require
but I think if you work with a travel agency they can fix you up
with whatever info you need before you leave home, that way you
don't run into any unexpected or unsurmountable problems. My
philosophy is to GO FOR IT,You will be surprised at the help that
is available. __Andy__
