Index Number: 13680 Recently a friend who is familiar with Lotus found out that they now have a TDD 800 number for hearing-impaired customers. He passed this on to me as I use one to communicate with my deaf friends. I am not sure how many of you on this or other similar networks are aware of this. I am posting this as a general information and to be passed on to other newsgroups by those who can. Thanks in advance. I do know that one newsgroup that has been suggested is "Deafnet" and so I would be particularly appreciative of anyone who posts it there (I do not have access to it as far as I know). Thanks. Here is the info: Number 1-800-457-0909. It is only for use with TDDs. NO VOICE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!! All Lotus products support are available from them. It is manned from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern time, on weekdays, as far as I knowIt has been in place since the beginning of the year as far as I can figure out. That's about all I know. Those of you who want to know more can call them at that number (TDD only). I will try to find out more from my friend and post any info I get. If you do not have a TDD and have some specific query about their system (NOT LOTUS PRODUCTS; I cannot do that), I can ask him and e-mail those responses. I would however encourage you to call Lotus directly instead of getting info nth hand from me. Hope this helps. Take care. ****************************************************************** ___Raistlin___ Mukund Nori Raistlin@Virginia.EDU mn5y@krebs.acc.Virginia.EDU "VIOLENCE IS THE LAST RESORT OF THE INCOMPETENT" Asimov
