DT> Wondered if you could give us an update on how close you
DT> are to releasing Auto Braille. I am so anxious to get my
DT> hands on a copy of that software. Where are you in terms of
DT> having complete compatability with Word Perfect 5.1 with Turbo
DT> Braille. Is there any reason to believe that a translation of
DT> a 5.1 file with your current 2.54 would be a problem or will
DT> 2.54 handle enough of the WP 5.1 to be largely dependable.

I am not really the one who should take this one up, but you addressed it to me.

I am no longer with KANSYS, Inc., because of my new job as the director of the
National Braille and Technology Center in Baltimore. Anyway, having said that,
I last talked to Chuck about it a week ago. he said Auto Braille was producing
braille and he was just refining it. It should be another couple weeks or so.
Give him a call at 1-800-279-4880 or 913-843-0351 and ask or leave him a message
here. He may or may not get it. I would guess that Turbo Braille will be
guaranteed to handle WP5.1 two to four weeks after Auto Braille is done. Yes,
it will handle most 5.1 codes okay, but no guarantees can be made. If you use
pretty simple formatting, letters etc., it should be okay, or you could save as
wp5.0 with Control-f5 3 2.
I know it is late, auto braille that is, but software always is, isn't it.
