Boy! ?Fred that's like comparing a ship ad half speed to a rocket
"Grin! Seriously best of luck to you.  For a first time user I think
Jaws would be a little awsom.  At least to me its layout isn't taotally
logical though it was to Ted Henter.  However I use it every once in a
while.  My favorate is Vocal-eyes.  I guess it is sort of like a
confortable chair it has all of the new high-tech functions that
screenreaders need today plus the best of the old! review mode, easy
menus for speech use, ETC.  I'm confortable with either Jaws or
Vocal'eyes.  In a couple of weeks I'll be teaching a student jaws and
wordperfect.  You bet I'll be boning up!
Good luck to you.  Once the person you are working with gets used to it
