Index Number: 14699 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] Hi Susan, the Talking Checkbook is a full checkbook management program that also allows the user to print checks after the print parameters have been set using the print menu option. You can use a non-tracktor feed printer and any size check. I wrote the basic program and Don Barrett added the print set up routines. I use it on an IBM clone with speech synthesis and have had no problems with it. I just got sick of trying to use commercial software that never talked all that well. You can download "Checks39.zip" from the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind BBS (617)-451-5327 and if you have a Hayes 9600 modem, then you can also do it at the faster speeds. In any event Susan, that's the scoop. I know that some other BBS systems have the talking checkbook available for downloading, but I am not sure who. Hope you are well and should you decide to use the program, then I think it would meet your needs. Enjoy. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!101!460.0!Charles.Crawford Internet: Charles.Crawford@p0.f460.n101.z1.fidonet.org
