What software are you using on the Apple? The main problem would be that the
Accent and the Cricket use different codes for things like setting speech
parameters (I believe they both use the same shutup code). Another problem is
that I think the Cricket is expecting TTL levels on its serial port, whereas
the Accent wants RS-232 levels (if the Apple serial port can connect directly
to a standard external modem, then there shouldn't be a level problem).
