AJ/only has the use of a mouth-stick. My question is, what other input
AJ/devices are available to someone who only has use of his head? He
AJ/really waits a mouse-like pointing device. Any ideas? Thanks a bunch!
I am a respirator dependent quadriplegic, paralysed from the neck
down. I have limited use of my head and use a sip and puff device for
input. I have tried a head device on a Macintosh which was
"mouse-like". I was not able to use it because I can't turn my head to
well, so it may or may not work for that person. The sip and puff with
morse code software works great for me.
There are several morse code programs available for the IBM computer.
The one I highly recomend, and am using right now, is ezMorse made by:
Regenesis Development Corp
North Vancouver, B.C.
Canada V7G 1S3
Tel: (604) 929-6663
Fax: (604) 929-3316
I found it to be the most compatable with the software I use,
including: Word Perfect 5.1, QuickBASIC 4.5, Telix 3.12, GEnie PC
Aladdin 1.30. EzMorse can either use the game, parallel or serial port
to attach the swich cable (incudued). Also, the cataloge states than,
"individuals with disabilities can purchase ezMorse at 30% off listed
price." The listed price in the cataloge I have (11/89) is $75
(Canadian).
