Hello, I am Butch Bussen. I have written programs and worked with computers
since 1983.
I would like to hear from any of you who have jobs in the computer field or
jobs that require you to use a computer. I am totally blind and am
presently attending college majoring in computer science. I have no
real idea of just what kind of jobs are available out there. I would
appreciate hearing from you.

Hi Butch,
Well, you've come to the right place, you're likely to get more
advice/info that you could ever need. I am a computer systems
analyst/programmer and have been for about ten years. It's hard to
figure out exactly what your asking about, since the jobs out there for
people in the computer field are generally programming. Sometimes
main-frames, more and more networked PC systems, so try and get some
experience with both. Also, try and get any work-experience you can for
your resume, don't quibble about salary here, do it for free if you have
to, but get something for the old brag sheet. Also, try your best to
keep your grades up to show to any perspective employer that you're
better than the average.
If you'd like to talk more, I'll give you a call or send a cassette,
or something, just let me know.
