These were hooked to the speaker wires of audio and I am told made interesting paterns according to the volume and frequencies of the sounds comming from the audio equipment. I have seen wireless devices for monitoring a baby. I suggest you see if color organs still exist and attach one to a baby monitor find a crying baby or recording and see what the result is. Index Number: 15083 Mike, As far as Baby monitoring Devices the most convient place to pick them up is your local Sears hearing aid center hidden in the nook of a lot of Sears stores. Their prices aren't the best but you can find them almost anywhere. Mike Wheeler
