My wife and I are expecting our first child. She has a
profound hearing loss, so we are looking for devices
to help her monitor the baby. Does anyone know of
companies or sources for this kind of equipment?

Thanks in advance,
Mike Giden

Hello:
I don't know how well this would work (Since I am blind.); in the 1960's
there were devuces cakked Color Organs. These were hooked to the speaker
wires of audio and I am told made interesting paterns according to the volume
and frequencies of the sounds comming from the audio equipment. I have seen
wireless devices for monitoring a baby. I suggest you see if color organs still
exist and attach one to a baby monitor find a crying baby or recording and
see what the result is.

Mike,

As far as Baby monitoring Devices the most convient place to pick
them up is your local Sears hearing aid center hidden in the nook
of a lot of Sears stores. Their prices aren't the best but you can
find them almost anywhere.
