Index Number: 15217 Bill, about a month ago I put out a request for information about problems that people encounter with telecommunications. Much to my surprise, I got almost no responses - atypical for the readership. There was one general-interest story that a news writer sent. It's too long to clutter up the Digest, but there imght be enough interest to justify carrying the following note: - Several people asked me to send them any information that I got in response to my request for information about problems that users have with telecommunictions. In fact, I got very little; and most of that had to do with research, rather than applications. There was one reply that might be of more general interest, from Adam Gaffin, who writes for the Middlesex (Massachusetts) News, in which he described a possible future solution for the problem of presenting graphics to visually impaired users, and tells of a BBS that offers information for the visually impaired. Rather than repeat a longish article here, if anyone is interested they can ask Adam for it: ask for 'Advocate for blind looks for breakthrough'. Adam can be reached at adam <at> world.std.com -
