Bill,
about a month ago I put out a request for information about problems
that people encounter with telecommunications.
Much to my surprise, I got almost no responses - atypical for the
readership. There was one general-interest story that a news writer
sent. It's too long to clutter up the Digest, but there imght be
enough interest to justify carrying the following note:

Several people asked me to send them any information that I got
in response to my request for information about problems that
users have with telecommunictions. In fact, I got very little;
and most of that had to do with research, rather than applications.
There was one reply that might be of more general interest, from
Adam Gaffin, who writes for the Middlesex (Massachusetts) News, in
which he described a possible future solution for the problem of
presenting graphics to visually impaired users, and tells of a
BBS that offers information for the visually impaired. Rather
than repeat a longish article here, if anyone is interested
they can ask Adam for it: ask for 'Advocate for blind looks
