[This is from the Blink Talk Conference]

As a federationist from California I was interested to see the
message posted by LLoyd Rasmusen indicating that the National
Accreditation Council (NAC) seems to finally be completely dead.

Maybe now the field of blindness will settle down and begin helping
the population it claims to serve.

In Montreal a few years ago it apppeared that NFB and the AFB were
willing to bury the hatchet and commence some sort of
cooperation.

I also agree with Lloyd, the coverage in the Monitor at least in
the last issue discussing Nac was balanced and to the point.

The equivalent article in the Forum was sad and pathetic. I think
grant Mack actually took pleasure in destroying that microphone.

It is truly tragic, when a blind person has to depend upon the
input of sighted agency officials as Mr. Mack seemed to be doing to
know how many other blind persons were present and what they were
doing!

Let's hope that services to the blind will now change for the
better.

ding dong, the wicked witch is dead.
