Hi all:
I am playing around with the Reader Project program. I find it
useable, but clumsy. I want to use arrows, and keys like that to
perform functions, anyone else out there with comments. Also, this
should be a great program if 1: the price for the full thing is not as
planned now, and 2: they get more books in the list.

Al:

Read the information in the files about the Reader Project just uploaded
to BLINKLINK. They all start with 'RP' and one, RPREADME.DOC offers
a low price now or forever hold your peace answer to anyone wanting
to take advantage now and willing to give us feedback. Each of these
Beta packages includes a free upgrade to the distributor release.

As to titles, read 'RPTEXTBK.DOC'. You will be glad to know The Reader
Project has opened up its Copyright Enforcement Technology [CET] to
any non-profit that wants to produce low cost and useful electronic
versions of books with the publishers' permission! With the support
of yourself and others, this will bring about a new level of 'Success'
instead of just 'Access'.

Call or write me with your in depth thoughts. We're glad you're using
it.

IO> i heard more details on the reader project today.

IO> it requires the use of a parallel port on your pc. i don't know
IO> what you do if you got two printers hooked up to those ports.

Yes, there is a small plug type device that you hook to your parallel port, but
you can attach a printer cable to that and use your port normally. I have
tested it with both laser and braille printers, without problems.
