Well, I think artic's problem was that until Randy started working for
them they weren't exactly in touch with the needs of their consumers. AT
least randy's blind and got a good head on his shoulders. BEcause of
him, at least Artic put their program manual on tape. It's not as good
as braille, but it beats having it only on disk. How would you like to
be afirst time user and have to start working the damned program before
you can even read the manual? Now that's smart, right? I hear they're
going to do it in brialle, and Randy's rewriting the whole thing, so
maybe it'll be in English with lots and lots of examples. That might
help make the program easier to use, not as good as a tru a.i. program,
but better than now. And also I hear their board is almost ready to come
up, so maybe we can get some config files from some smart people who
have figured out god configs for programs like nortons etc. On a
different subject, I wonder how you liked your training at Smithtown and
what made you decide to go there. I"m in the process of looking for
another school, so am open to all experiences, good and bad, that folks
have had. I really want a sheperd again, which makes me lean towards
Seeing Eye, but like I say, I'm open.
