Index Number: 15389 [This is from the Silent Talk Conference] A vast cloud of compressed dust and gases formed a great globe that expanded with heat and contracted under pressure and expanded again. This went on until deep within its interior a subatomic spark flickered. A spark that flickered and spread. It spread up from the core and sought the surface. Then it reached the outer limits of the interior. The surfaced bugled with power unleashed! Heat! Light! Starbirth! So came our sun to be born. It threw its light across the void. Through the myriad bands of electromagnetic waves it screamed across the cosmos, declaring, "I am!" From the debris of its birth came the planets, the moons, the comets, the asteroids and the meteors. Out this chaos came our world and ourselves. Star-Children. Change has always been chaotic. Always destabilizing. But in the end, what a beautiful product! The field of deaf education is convulsing because of the changes taking place. In the writhing there is much room for controversy, contention, and turmoil. Ever has "change" rent the air and strained at the seams of the thing that we call society. And so it is with the issues pertaining to the Deaf. And so it should be. To my supporters, let's party because I'M BBBAAAACCCKKKKK!!! -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!300!14!James.Womack Internet: James.Womack@f14.n300.z1.fidonet.org
