Computer Conversations, Inc. has announced the release of two
new voice synthesizers intended for use with MS DOS computers
operating at up to 30 megahertz. The Verbette Mark I is an
internal half size board, and the Verbette Mark II is a small
external box attaching by a cable to the computer's parallel
port.

The Verbette Mark II represents a revolutionary concept in
voice synthesizer technology. It is 4 inches long, 2 inches wide
and 1 inch thick and weighs only 8 ounces. It is battery
operated and can use a 9 volt battery or an AC adapter.

Both Verbettes feature a user exception dictionary to allow
easy modification of pronunciation. There are a wide variety
of volume, speed, pitch and filter levels, all controlled
from the computer keyboard, as well as immediate silencing.
When used with Computer Conversations' Verbal Operating
System voice output software, the synthesizer/software
combination requires only 23K of RAM. Both Verbettes
require an amplified speaker or earphone.

The Verbette Mark I costs $249.95 and the Verbette Mark II
costs $399.95. The cost of the Verbal Operating System software
is $550.00. Computer Conversations can be reached at 614 924
