TACTILE GRAPHICS GRANT FOR TEACHERS OF BLIND CHILDREN

Mountain View, CA -- Teachers can create raised dot tactile
graphic pictures for their blind students with an Apple IIe or
IIgs computer, LORIN Software's Illustrations program and a
VersaPoint braille embosser. To create a tactile graphic, first
you draw a picture using an Apple mouse, then use Illustrations
to send the picture to the VersaPoint braille embosser. With
this fast and simple method, teachers can produce their own
tactile graphics.

TeleSensory and LORIN Software are offering a grant for the 1991-
1992 school year designed to measure effectiveness and increase
awareness of tactile graphics in educating blind students in
grades K-12. The grantee will receive the Illustrations program
plus the entire LORIN Software graphic collection (Braille
Readiness ABC's, Braille Readiness 123's, Coloring Shapes and
Braille Font). the recipient will also receive a VersaPoint
braille embosser to use for the duration of the grant.

Teachers who have blind student who need access to frequent and
easily produced tactile graphics and have an Apple IIe or IIgs
computer should call TeleSensory for a grant application.
Deadline for applications and proposals is May 31, 1991.
