Recovery ships have run into difficulty towing the SRB's due to rough sea conditions. The towing cables have reportedly broke leaving the booster floating in a vertical attitude. The ships are still 114 miles from Cape Canaveral and are not expected to return to port before tomorrow morning. Efforts by divers to resecure the cables to the SRB's is being hampered by 12 foot seas. Ron Meyer inuxa!rrm Bell labs - Indy
