HK> Yesterday, the Secret Service came by my office. They told me HK> that I could not take Falcon to the White House. They were HK> afraid he would pee on the bushes and chase the quail. What ever HK> should I do? Tell the S.S. "thanks but no thanks: Its both of us or neither of us!" Meeting Bush isn't worth leaving your guide dog home for. Tell Falcon to pee on the secret service. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!129!26!Stu.Turk Internet: Stu.Turk@f26.n129.z1.fidonet.org

Index Number: 15759 It is truly amazing that the Secret Service is requesting that a blind person leave a dog guide at home when visiting the White House. Let's hear it for the President who signed the ADA into law. I suggest that if insisting that you bring your dog along does not work, you should write a letter to the President, explaining (GEorge seems intelligent most of the time; I think he'll notice the contradiction) that this is not the greatest way to assure implementation of the Act he allegedly supports. Hail to the Chief--but then, maybe they have a point. We wouldn't want Millie--First Dog--to have another litter, would we? Fathered by a dog guide--heavens, how embarrassing! Let's hear it for equal opportunity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Poor is the person | Christine Faltz | | whose permission | 33 Prospect Ave. | | depends upon the | Princeton, NJ 08540 | | perceptions of others. | "Who is John Galt?" | -------------------------------------------------------------------------
