IF the BNS is capable of receiving a file without doing any kind of
translation of the incoming characters, AND IF it can send a file without
doing any translation (Bryan Blazie would be the person to answer this) then
such a transfer would be theoretically possible. However, without an error
checking protocol you'd be skating on rather thin ice. Furthermore, many
BBS's won't allow an ASCII download of ZIP or other binary files, and there
would probably be character-pacing problems in getting the file back to the
computer.

Of course, Blazie could put a simple XMODEM transfer option into the BNS if
they thought it would a good use of limited firmware space....
