 You're right.  We don't need to spend money on stuff like that.  Why
 Braille the elevators>  Blind people can just count the buttons.  Why
 have speech synthesizers?  Blind people can run their fingers over the
 monitor and sense the heat differential from letter to letter.  Sheesh.

Does anyone here have access to statistics on subway accidents?  On a
per-capita basis, do as many sighted people fall off the platforms as do
blind people?

I'm really only interested in hard numbers here, folks; not what we
imagine the percentages to be.  If the answer to my question is "yes", I
might rethink me stand on the pathfinder tiles issue.
