[This is from the Spinal Injury Conference]

   My ex-fiancee and I checked into this procedure in 1987. It has been
well documented for several years, but it is good you brought it up for
the benefit of those who are unaware.
-> The procedure, which includes examinations for the husband and wife
-> and an evaluation of the sperm, costs at least $1,250. Some
-> insurance
    When we checked this out it was free because it was considered
research though they had had success with SCI people for years. I should
point out that at the time I was investigating this, I was told that
this did not work for every male SCI person. Many things can go wrong.
Some quads and paras had gone through years of trying unsuccessfully.
Conditions have to be monitored between couples and the timing must be
perfect. Then again, it does for everyone else too. Nevertheless, SCI
does not necessarily mean you cannot father children. However, some are
more fortunate than others.
