Index Number: 16415 [This is from the Silent Talk Conference] JO> That's interesting. My hearing gets lots worse in the dark, or JO> if I'm not wearing my glasses. In the dark I can hear some noises JO> but can't discriminate speech. And my eyeglasses seem to be even JO> more important to understanding speech than my hearing aids are. :-) That's an interesting point. I find that when I am in total darkness and hear something, I put on my glasses even though I know it won't help me see in the dark. I wonder if this is true of all vision impaird people, or if you and I are just weird? I have about 20/400 or worse, but it is correctable with glasses. Anybody else out there do this? Does it seem to help hear better? -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!343!71!Verna.Forristal Internet: Verna.Forristal@f71.n343.z1.fidonet.org
