[This is from the Spinal Injury Conference]
As a former patient of spinal cord rehab, I can tell you that I HATED being
awakened every two hours to be turned, when, in fact, using an air or water
mattress would have allowed patients to sleep through the night (I now have an
air mattress here at home, spend up to eight hours straight laying in one
position, and my skin is pristine). Sleep is too important to be trifled with.
