My name is Lisa Lemon. I'm a new subscriber. I'm searching for
information on twin studies. I have a set of twins one is "NORMAL"
the other has Cerebral Palsey. I have seen features on news
programs about twins like mine and have recently met a mother going
through the same thing I am. I was wondering if you have any
documentation that would be useful. I'm looking for anything I can
find on CP or Twins with the problems mine have or ways to start a
CP support group in South Carolina.

I look forward to hearing from you on this subject or anything else
you have to offer.

Thank You

I don't have any documentation on twins and CP. However,
a good place to start would be the:

  United Cerebral Palsy Associations (UCPA)
  UCP Research and Educational Foundation
  66 East 34th Street
  New York, NY 10016
  (800) USA-1UCP
  (212) 481-6300

They should also be able to give you information on support groups
in your area.

Another organization to contact would be NORD at:

The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD)
   P.O. Box 8923
   New Fairfield, CT 06812 (USA)
   Phone: (800) 999-NORD
   (In CT): (203) 746-6518

Also the Exceptional Parent magazine has a "Parent Search"
section. which publishes letters from its subscribers searching
for parents with similar experiences, information about specific
problems and resource information.

You must be a subscriber.
