Index Number: 16494 Sorry if this gets out, I set distribution to ca. I just moved into a house with a wheelchair ramp I don't need. I would very much like this to remain a useful wheelchair ramp as opposed to becoming firewood. It is long enough for a 60 year old diabetic woman to power her own chair up it. As such, it could probably provide a greater rise for a more vigorous rider. Built by CID, but they don't want it back. They asked me to offer it here first, and if that fails, keep it until they can move it (as opposed to remove and store) somewhere new. The dimensions are: L shaped, low end 21', higher end 14'. Total rise 3 to maybe 4 ft. 4' wide, outside edges given. Currently mounted on 10" poured concrete feet at high end. 9 years old, painted red. 2x4 and plywood construction. A few of the rail supports are crumbling at the ends, and one square of plywood was apparently originally rotten, but once that was replaced 7 years ago, no more problems. Weight ???, currectly in Redwood City, CA. Easy access. Any suggestions also appreciated, newsgroups, mailing lists, ... I really want this thing to remain useful, but I don't want it where it is, beside the fact that it isn't useful any more. oh, free of course, as long as it stays a home wheelchair ramp. -- jim hunt@Eng.Sun.COM yatta yatta disclaimer Blaming the Internet for viruses and breakins is like blaming the Highway Department for interstate serial killers and bank robbers.
