Index Number: 16497 Joe, I am the Human Rights Chair for the UN Decade of Disabled. I know exactly what Germany does NOT have for disabled. Remember they had the model eugenics law in Nazi times. They wantonly killed disabled as a "test" for the gas chambers. I would think twice befoe you say things so across the board as that. I am dealing now with Austria and some nurse's aids who killed 22 old "sick" people in a nursing home. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are both worried about the rights of the old people that were violated by these nurse's aids. Unless you want this kind of thing to happen here too, I would be very aware that the world is a dangerous place when others decide what happens to disabled persons. Holland was dismissed from the WHO because they have a law allowing MD's to kill their "vegatative" patients by injection. We are just one step away form this. Who is to say you could even appeal if someone outside of your life decided sight unseen that YOU were vegatative and sent a person to inject you and kill you? I think this is a situation that you should be aware of and make some accounting for. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!Tzipporah.Benavraham Internet: Tzipporah.Benavraham@hnews.fidonet.org
