I am now completely off the dantrium. Withdrawal was terrible from a
physical standpoint. Every time I cut 25 mg. (I was on 100mg.) I went
through almost a week of terrible spasticity. The ironic part is that
when I was on it, it was not helping.
I read in this conference about how scared people were of the drug
and that helped influence my decision to get off it. I was only on it
for 3 months. I did check with several doctors and none of them seemed
to think there was any problem with the drug unless given in amounts
exceeding 300 mg. daily which can cause sever liver damage.
Irregardless, it is just another drug and I am glad to be off it. My
next move (in a few weeks) is my final 5 mg. of Valium. I currently take
80 mg. Lioresal (Baclofen) daily also.
Good to hear from you again. How is Buddy doing these days? How are
you doing? As a matter of fact I had a woman in the pain conference ask
me where to find help for caregivers. Her husband had back pain and it
was really taking its toll on her mentally. Might want to check the
conference as you could probably h4e3lp her better than I as you deal
with a similar situation daily. Talk to you later.
