Index Number: 16519 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] i was really surprised when at guide dogs this last november, they brought out a bunch of toys such as hard rubber bones and a hard rubber pull ring. of course, drummer was too proud to play with such a mere toy but that changed when i got home. i found a neat tug rope at the pet store. it has a large knot at both ends and is made of thick rope, percfect for tug of war. i think the schools are leaning towards toys as apposed to away from them. the main thing i think is that in the beginning when you get home with the dog, don't emphasize toys as much until after the first few weeks at home especially if there are other dogs in the house which could cause friction relating to the toys... dan -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!203!998!Dan.Kysor Internet: Dan.Kysor@f998.n203.z1.fidonet.org
