The Challenger was mated to its external tank and solid rocket boosters Wednesday morning in preparations for STS-6. The operation was delayed about 8 hours when a bolt snapped and a replacement had to be installed. Later this week, technicians will check gas, electrical, and fluid connections to and from the ship.
