TC> Faith in oneself is an indispensable ingredient for living a
TC> happy, productive life. ,how does visual impairment impact the
TC> development of that faith? What is the connection betwoeen the
TC> psychosocial maturity of the individual and his/her experience
TC> of blindness in a world of sighted people? What is your
TC> experience of being separated, by your blindness, and yet, by
TC> nature, belonging to the rest of humanity? What resources have
TC> been important to you in your experience of accepting your
 TC> blindness?

Tim,
I'm glad you asked that question, and I felt that it was worth
quoting.

While some may holler at me for this, in the main I've found other
support groups to be more supportive of me as a person than any
particular group for the blind that I may have belonged to.
I'm not saying that blind individuals haven't been supportive, but
when it comes to groups, I'd much rather have a 12 step group to go to
for support rather than any of the disabled groups that I know about.

                        Boulder Bill
