Hi Margo: in an earlier message to Nancy Feldman, you were talking about self
defense. I certainly think it is a good idea for all people to know something
about self defense, but I think it is equally important to know when to use it
and when not to try. Example if a person is armed and attacks you, if you are
blind, you are at a definite disadvantage. You don't know if the person has the
knife in his/her right hand or left hand. In those circumstances, either run
like hell if you get the chance, or give them whatever they want. You are
assuming that you will have contact with the person, but that is not always the
case. Nevertheless, we agree on most, except when you implied that the blind
person is not at a disadvantage unless the person happens to be stronger. I do
not agree totally with that assumption. Take care. Stew.
