JD> Also I was just curious as to where Leroy came from and what
JD> type of food your school has recommended.

Jeff,
LeeRoy (Note the spelling, as his given name is simply Lee, but I
like the sound of LeeRoy!) is from Seeing Eye
Although Seeing Eye suggests any name brand, good quality
dry dog food, I kept LeeRoy on the Purina Plus they were giving him
while I was there for a few months, but a few problems arose. He was
gaining too much weight, and in fact was losing hair around his neck
where the collar rode. Just coincidentally, while I was talking to
Brad Scott from Leader Dog and this echo, he mentioned to me how these
problems were noted on some of their dogs when they were on the high
protein foods.
Well, I put him on the same Gravy Train that my still living 14 and
a half year old retired guide dog has lived on, and he is coming back to
fighting weight, his coat is about as good as any I've ever seen, and
no, he hasn't lost one bit of stamina or energy!
The way I figure it, if something works for you, why bother
changing ships in the middle of the stream, and Gravy Train worked for
me for too many years to give up on it now. It meets with Strider's
approval, and it meets with LeeRoy's approval, so hey, it's good enough
for me!
                                                        Willie

..... Have you smooched your pooch today?
