Index Number: 16588 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] As of today, Vocal-Eyes version 2.0 is shipping. We have the demonstration version available as well. If you would like to try a copy, either leave me a message here or give the office a call. We will be glad to send a copy your way. Of course we will have demonstration versions available at the NFB and ACB conventions as well. I will list once again a few of the new features below: - No macros required!!! - Advanced light bar tracking with a very powerful automatic mode. With a setting of auto, Vocal-Eyes can automatically determine if a lightbar is being used and speak the correct information. No setup required by the user. - It offers an automatic box read feature. As boxes popup on the screen, Vocal-Eyes can be instructed to read them. If more than one is on the screen, Vocal-Eyes will try and determine which is of most importance and read that one. - Vocal-Eyes 2.0 now also offers an interactive review cursor. You still have the familiar review mode, but you can now use the numeric keypad as an interactive review cursor as well. The insert key can be used as a shift key. - 2.0 now offers an exception dictionary for all synthesizers. - hotkeys to scroll through your document forward and backward by sentence and paragraph. - time and date hotkey - hyperactive windows have been great enhanced. There are 13 ways a window can be instructed to trigger. You can look for an exact match, different match, contains a particular string, does not contain a string, contains a specified color or does not contain a specfic color and much more. Once a window has triggered, you can do up to three things. For example, you can speak a string of your choosing, speak the lightbar and load a new voice environment from disk. All automatically. very powerful. - Windows can now have a particular color attached to them. You can chain read with windows, you can speak and spell in a window. - Autoloading will automatically load your voice environment. When you execute a program, Vocal-Eyes will load the voice environment with the same name as the program. the .SET file, the character dictionary and key label dictionary will all be loaded automatically. You don't have to load the information manually nor create batch files. When you shell to DOS, the DOS environment will automatically be loaded. Once you exit the shell, the previous settings will be reloaded. You can actually go 15 levels deep and Vocal-Eyes will be able to reload the information. The above list is by no means complete. You really have to work with the new version to see how much more enhanced it is from the previous version. Since my job with Vocal-Eyes version 2.0 is finished, I am going to be leaving in about 2 hours for Florida for 10 days. Yes, it is vacation time. myself and four others are going SCUBA diving off the keys. No phones, no computers. Just OCEAN! Can't wait. However, Rick Alfaro has been kind enough to save my personal messages. I will miss alot of the other messages, but feel free to leave me a personal message if you have any questions or comments. I will definetely get back with you. Of course, you can always call or write to the office. Thanks again.
