[comp.sys.ncr] Tracing incoming phone logon attempts

Is there any easy way to trace attempts to logon to an incoming line
(ie, on a modem) which are *not* successful.

Similarly, can the line be configured to disconnect if a successful
logon is not achieved within a minute or two.  It appears possible to
configure the line to disconnect if there is no activity, presumably from
a non-modem call, but it would seem desirable to discourage hackers from
trying many combinations without being thrown off.
