[net.followup] Help: Info for choice needed

I recently managed the purchase of a 68000 Unix system and considered
the NCR Tower system. We rejected the system because the Unix kernel
internals and device driver sources were not available at any price, according
to the NCR people I talked to. We had an application which probably would
have required them. The salesman also made a stupid statement, something
like, "We haven't been very big in the university market, and, frankly,
aren't planning on getting very big in that market."
If you don't require the kernel source, the Tower might be a good
system for your application. I've never used one, so I can't say how it
compares to other machines in performance.
