Hello, hopefully these following questions will have simple answer. I just recently began work on a Tower 32-650 running SYS5.3 and am interested in learning how to use streams and networking (t_open, t_bind, etc) for data transfer and IPC programming. However, I have this problem: I have no clue as to what is being referred to by "stream". It's certainly different from the UNIX 4.3BSD which I'm used to. Also, how does one specify the transport protocol with t_open? The manual pages mention other more in-depth references, but the company I am working for has decided not to include them in their library of programming guides.
