[comp.sys.ncr] NFS for NCR TOWER

ruef@aut.UUCP (Bernhard Ruef) (05/29/90)

Well, the subject line says it all:
Does anybody know about the availability of NFS for a NCR TOWER 32/[46]X0
running System V.3 (Release 3.00.01 in NCR speak) ?

Yes, I do know that this question has been asked before in comp.sys.ncr
but I haven't yet seen a satisfactory, i.e. definite answer :-)

Cheers
-Beni

"UNIX is the answer - what was the question ?"

I'm curious too. A friend at Cornell said he seemed to recollect a PD
version of NFS than ran outside the kernel.

I don't know how much help this will be, but my spies tell me that the
software is not yet general deployment, although there are some CVT
sites, one of which I'm trying to be.

Also, I guess that the software is done out of SE-Copenhagen.

Hope this helps.
