 Nigel, from the experience I have had with VARS I would say that even
if it isn't official I would not put a V.3 unix version on our towers
out without at least 8MB of memory and then be prepared to increase
the swap space as well.  This is because of the new way demand paging is 
handled under V.3 which demands more memory up front.
