[comp.sys.ncr] NCR UNIX User Group meeting, October 25-26, Columbia, SC

nolan@tssi.UUCP (Michael Nolan) (10/04/90)

The recent announcements by NCR of the new 3000 computer series, and the
related announcement of their decision not to offer System V, Release 4, on
existing Tower 680x0 products makes this year's NCR UNIX User Group meeting
the first opportunity for the NCR UNIX community to address their concerns
to NCR management. Also, NCR is scheduled to make several announcements
between now and the end of October concerning networking products.

As those present in Reno at NUCON learned, NUUG president Jon Linden has
not been shy in asking NCR management pointed questions about the future
of NCR's UNIX and Tower committments. This should make for an exciting
meeting in Columbia.
